Our 2010 season officially begins with Saturday’s Claremont Novice Trials. This meet is exclusively for athletes competing in their first high school meet, regardless of their grade in school.
At last year’s meet, Makayla Jacoub, Shawn Miller and Dillon Downard first showed the talent that would make them Sierra League finalists.
Because this will be new, all participating athletes should download, read and bring with them a copy of our teams Meet Day Guide (here) and the meet’s Order of Events (here)
Our district does not provide transportation on Saturdays so athletes are responsible to get themselves to Claremont High School (directions here). There may be rain, so dress and plan accordingly.
On arrival, look for the red Glendora EZ-Up tent on the field to the west of the track.
All field event athletes and any running the 1600 should arrive no later than 8:40, hurdlers by 8:55 and every one else by 9:10. The meet will run until about 3:00 pm, and athletes should plan on staying at least 45 minutes after their final event to support their teammates.
